Muscle tone is critical at any age and for any gender. One of the things I always recommend the ladies get involved with is weight lifting as part of their workouts. It really is one of the best ways to get in shape. For men weight lifting increases strength, muscle mass and muscle tone. So, depending on what you want to achieve, I have a plan for you.
Maintaining a strong body core is important at any age. Balance, posture and back health have been linked to core strength. Your core is the vital “foundation” of all your body’s movements, whether you are walking, carrying a heavy bag, or playing a sport.
GROUP TRAINING AND "BUDDY UP"
This can be just 2 friends wanting to "buddy up" for personal training or attending classes in the studio formally or informally - your choice. Classes range from "spin" cycle sessions to Zumba, conditioning, yoga, pilates etc. You may even be a sports club with players who want to train inside during winter.
STRENGTH AND WEIGHT TRAINING
Build muscle, improve strength, "bulk up", get a "six pack", put on a few pounds of lean muscle? We all want to look and feel good about ourselves but have slightly different objectives! For the men its usually wanting to add a few pounds and improve overall strength and condition. For the ladies who are slim naturally, maybe putting on a few lean pounds and improving body shape and general condition.
NUTRITION AND DIET PLANS
A healthy diet is a 'must' for overall fitness and particularly for both weight loss - weight gain and weight management. Most people starting a fitness programme need to review and modify their diet. I provide tailored diet plans, which combined with a fitness training programme, will dramatically help you achieve your goals.
It's always worth creating a 'benchmark' and finding out just how fit you currrently are!. You can then use this information to see how your fitness training plan is working and how much you are improving. It's also interesting to see how you compare with the average person of you age and sex!
